The session can cater for individuals or groups, and is ideal for any person whose work brings them into contact with likely sources of physical risk or harm. Sessions can be extended to a whole day to cover additional practical skills.

Topics can include fear management, dynamic risk assessment, principles of personal safety, motivation, threat awareness, situation awareness, anti surveillance, simple and easily retainable self defence skills, defusing and resolving conflict, legal aspects of self defence, post incident reporting, scenario training.

Women only self defence packages incorporating many of the above topics but in addition including practical scenarios with a padded assailant.

The course trainers have both the knowledge of conflict management and the practical experience and skills gained from many years of front line policing.

Witness testimony training

Giving evidence in a court can be a daunting experience. The quality of evidence is matched by the credibility of a witness in giving their evidence. Poor performance can lead to prosecution failure, witness demoralisation and a lack of confidence in the judicial system.
This one day course covers classroom work in the morning covering the theory aspects of giving evidence and demystifying the whole process. A real court is used in the afternoon to provide candidates with the experience of giving evidence. A defence solicitor will facilitate this experience and cross examine the candidates in a test exercise; a real experiential learning opportunity. This session is similar to that provided to Police recruits.

The aim of the session is to enhance witness performance thereby increasing their confidence and credibility, which maximises the likelihood of a successful result in court.

This course is ideal for public, private organisations and other agencies, with staff likely to give evidence either in a civil or criminal court.
